Held in Windhoek, Namibia, annually, the Namibia Film Week is designed to engage the local audience in a celebration of cinema. This weeklong event showcases a diverse array of short films, feature films, and documentaries produced by talented Namibian filmmakers. The event aims to foster a collaborative environment, bringing together filmmakers and industry professionals, enhancing appreciation for cinema, and forging valuable connections within the industry.
Curated alongside the prestigious NTFAs, the film week has grown into a distinguished annual flagship event of the NFC with its own brand identity and programme. It is designed to celebrate Namibian storytelling, cinematic creativity, film skills development and industry knowledge exchange across the African continent.
All qualifying Namibian submissions to the NTFAs will automatically be showcased during the 2026 Film Week.
